Early Ones

Once in my life
Was early by far
It took some strife
From an early star

An oldie mate
Cracks not just a fart
He’s never ever late
Early bed, early start

For dinner he looks
Towards his breakie
Thinking he cooks
Of lunches most pecky

I was born lated
Ten minutes at least
Been ever since fated
An ungodly beast

Took one well strung
Moving at pace
With at least one lung
And plenty of haste

Believe it or not
Well ere our ship
We so early got
There time for a dip

No bus, no showers
Awaiting our yacht
For one and a half hours
More than a tad hot
