The Beacher

A beach is a creature
That pretends to sleep still
But wakes in great anger
When stirring at will

A beach, a shapeshifter
You can’t control if you try
Taking on a new feature
Or happy to just lie

A beach is a teacher
With lessons dear-bought
A specimen beseecher
Left strewn to be sought

A beach is a preacher
Declaring a resound
Or speaking a soft whisper
Something very profound

A beach unlike Nietzsche
Is enlightened and alive
Feeding a coastal screecher
Ordering a gannet dive

A beach much like Nitsche
Takes so many lives
You can’t try to impeach her
For causing so many cries

The Common Beacher
